BCC & RTA Membership

British Ceramic Confederation and Roof Tile Association Welcome New Member

Tudor are pleased to have been invited to join the British Ceramic Confederation, plus their sector associate the Roof Tile Association.

The BCC represents and works with many UK based ceramic companies acting on their behalf to promote safety, quality and sustainable manufacturing.

Along side the BCC, a number of Sector Associations carry out specific activities, notably product awareness and standards development. The Roof Tile Association has now taken over from The Roof Tile Council as the central representative body for pitched roof tile manufacturers.

Paul Lythgoe, Managing Director of Tudor, added:  “As a company we pride ourselves on combining the benefits of traditional craftsmanship with modern performance standards.  We acknowledge the benefits given to UK ceramic manufacturers by the BCC, and we look forward to working with the RTA as it seeks to promote both design and quality in pitched roofing.”

Stunning roof using Tudor bespoke tiles

After 2 years of design and planning, Tudor Roof Tiles supplied bespoke sized tiles (400mm long x 100mm wide) to King’s College School Wimbledon for their new music school and concert hall.

The tiles were used to form a visually stunning ‘patterned’ roof which must surely go forward to win many architectural awards.

2017-18 Quality Test Certificates

Each year, as required by legislation, all roof tile manufacturers, supplying in or to the UK need to have their quality audited.

This year, as with every other year, Tudor was subjected to it’s audit by Lucideon (formerly CERAM) of Stoke-on-Trent.

The resultant certificates showing passes in testing of Freeze-Thaw, Flexural Strength and Water Impermeability are published on the Tudor website
